| The illustration displayed above was created from a photo taken at the Currahee Military Weekend, Toccoa Ga., in 2007. This event just gets larger and more exciting every year.
I had the honor of attending with Don Burgett, author, historian and paratrooper pictured above enplaning for the jump into Normandy on June 5, 1944. It was at the Toccoa, Georgia, event that we met with the brigade commanders and I was able to get a photo of Sgt. Burgett with the Currahee commanders.
On viewing the original photograph, I decided to merge more art with it and make a really special personal poster, which was then printed, one for each of the gentleman pictured. Don and I then donated another fine art print to each of the brigade headquarters of the "Airborne Stick" poster, personally signed by Sgt Burgett.
