By composing multiple photos into a single cohesive image, the artist can convey an entirely different overview of the subject(s) than could be attained by one leafing through an album of photos glued to pages.

By including text content and border effects, adding and removing people, changing the background, and restoring damaged areas in the originals, the illustrator has a virtually limitless number of compositional choices. Empty out those old shoe boxes, and restore those photos before they are damaged beyond repair.... for the generations to come.
