Shipping You should seal and package your originals carefully so no damage can occur in shipment. Please enclose in rigid packaging. Once we receive your originals, there is no risk of damage to them. Pack your originals very carefully so they won't get damaged during shipment. We do nothing to your originals other than scanning them; all our restoration work is done on the digital file made from the scan. Once we receive your package, normal turnaround time is two weeks for our Basic Service and three to four weeks for most Optional Services, depending on the extent requested. Please allow more time in the holiday season (between October 1 and the end of the year). We can accept your payment by check (drawn on a US bank), or by money order (in US funds). If you're ordering only our Basic Service, your cost is based on the number of pictures printed, plus shipping costs. If you're requesting various Optional Services, we'll E-mail you the total cost when we send verification of receipt of your package. If paying by check, please mail your check so we receive it before we are ready to ship your package. Please provide us with written up to date contact information, number of images in the package, payment information, and general instructions for services desired. You should also provide written instructions for each individual original image attached or labeled in such a way as to insure the instructions match the image on which the work is to be done. The more detailed the instructions you provide, the better the job we can do for you! Please identify the correct image (example: "two people on porch swing") when giving individual instructions. Any original (photo, slide, negative, drawing, or document) without written instructions will be treated as a minimum service image: scanned, sharpened and brightened slightly, cropped for a clean appearance, printed, and saved to CD if requested. RESTORATION: Indicate Light, Heavy, or Extreme (guidelines at top of page covers most of the submissions we receive) for the degree of work needed. If you're not sure, we can tell you how much restoration is possible for an image. If there are specific areas that you want enhanced--or areas to tone down--please provide directions. COLORIZING: Please be specific if you have color preferences. Make sure you tell us if you want a color original converted to a black & white, or a sepia (antique appearance) tone image created. PAINTING: Indicate any preferred style. COMPOSITE: Provide detailed instructions. Make sure to indicate individuals to be removed from or added to the picture, the primary source picture, and additional source pictures. For missing details, please send any similar pictures you have to help the reconstruction. COLLAGE: Note which is the primary picture, any preference in cropping or arrangement. Also give any color preferences for the background. POSTER: Note what size poster you want. Mounted? Matted? Framed? Our work is done in a digital format on computer, rather than in a traditional darkroom with processing chemicals, and we print on high quality photo papers. The paper we prefer to use is a heavy-weight matte, archival quality photo paper, which results rich colors and blacks. Displayed with normal care and out of direct sunlight, our prints are rated to last at least 80 years without fading or discoloring. We will not scan copyrighted photographs or documents without the written permission of the copyright holder. If your original image has a copyright symbol, it is your responsibility to obtain a Release Waiver signed by the copyright holder allowing you to have the original reproduced. A copy of the Release Waiver must accompany any copyrighted original that you send to ScreamingEagles.com for reproduction. If you have a copyrighted image, and the copyright holder is either no longer alive or cannot be located, you must provide a signed statement indicating that you are unable to locate the copyright holder, and that you will be solely responsible for those images that are to be reproduced. A copy of your signed statement must be included with your order. We'll be happy to answer any further questions you may have about your pictures and/or the refinishing process. |
